City Crews Begin Patching Potholes
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- With all the nuisance snowfalls and cold weather lately, potholes are popping up all over the area.
Road crews in the city of Pittsburgh were out patching them Thursday.
Fifteen crews were out. They will be working 16-hour days to get all the potholes filled, but the city is facing a budget crunch.
KDKA's Jon Greiner reports:
The city has spent $1 million more on salt this winter than what was budgeted.
The Public Works Department plans to ask City Council for more money.
The street paving budget is $5 million.
