Analyst: Neal Can Be Streaky, But Can Succeed

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) – Dallas Stars beat writer Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News joined the FAN Morning Show to discuss the Alex Goligoski for James Neal and Matt Niskanen trade.

Heika said, the Stars decided to trade Neal because they have another player who they think is better than him and Dallas really needed help on defense.

Neal can be a little streaky, but he does have the ability and the skill set to succeed by playing more minutes and with better players, said Heika.

Heika said, Niskanen has the skill set to be a good player, but has a lot of confidence issues when playing on the ice.
