Port Authority Experiences Delays Due To Snow

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - The latest snow storm to move through western Pennsylvania caused some Port Authority service delays Tuesday morning.

Bus and T service experienced some delays and conditions of the side streets played a major role.

Some of the side streets in Pittsburgh haven't been treated. As a result, buses are unable to travel on them.

At one point Tuesday morning, 25 bus lines were out of service.

Lines that weren't affected were:

  • 61 A, B, C, D
  • 71 A, C, D
  • 13 A
  • 8
  • 59

East and west busway was also in service.

The Mon Incline is up and running and T light rail is operating on a normal schedule.

Yesterday, the Port Authority suspended much of its service around 10 p.m. due to the conditions.

As of 7 a.m. Tuesday, most of the Port Authority bus routes had resumed normal service.

Riders are being advised to check the status of their bus route by calling the Port Authority Customer Service line at (412)-442-2000 or by visiting their website.
