PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) – Jim Colony from the FAN Morning Show caught up with the Penguins new defenseman Matt Niskanen after practice on Thursday.

Niskanen said both he and Neal needed Thursday’s practice to get a better understanding of what the team does on face offs as well as other aspects of the game.

Niskanen was happy with the way he played his first game as a Penguin. He is excited to be playing in front of sold out crowds, something he didn’t experience in Dallas.
