Homestead Incident Under Investigation

HOMESTEAD (KDKA) — Homestead police are investigating a shooting.

Police Chief Jeffrey DeSimone said the victim, believed to be in his 20s, was shot in the thigh.

The victim claimed he was shot outside of his home, but neighbors dispute that.

DeSimone said the man was being uncooperative.

Investigators say there is a broken window in the rear of the home that’s covered with cardboard.

Police think the shooter may have jumped through that window after the shooting.
