Pitt Remains Tied At No. 4 In AP Poll

PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) - With two games remaining in the regular season, Pitt remains tied at No. 4 in the AP Top 25 poll. Pitt is tied with the Duke Blue Devils, who dropped from the No. 1 spot after they lost to Virginia Tech.

The Ohio State Buckeyes regain the top spot in the poll with 45 first place votes. The Kansas Jayhawks moved up one spot to No. 2 and the BYU Cougars climbed to No. 3 in the rankings.

The Cougars were ranked No. 7 in last week's poll and received five first place votes.

Rounding out the Top 10 are the Purdue Boilermakers,Texas Longhorns, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, San Diego State Aztecs and the Wisconsin Badgers.

The Big East Conference continues to dominate the rankings with eight teams in the Top 25. Pitt leads the conference at No. 4, followed by No. 8 Notre Dame, No. 11 Louisville, No. 12 Syracuse, No. 15 St. John's, No. 16 UConn, No. 17 Georgetown and No. 19 Villanova.

The No. 25 Utah State Aggies are the only unranked team to enter the Top 25 this week, knocking out the Temple Owls.
