Pittsburgh Power Announce Media Partnership

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – While the Pittsburgh Steelers are recovering after a grueling season that ended with a loss to the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl XLV, a new football season is about to get underway.

The Pittsburgh Power will open up play at the CONSOL Energy Center on March 11 against the Philadelphia Soul at 8 p.m.

This is the inaugural season for the Power in the Arena Football League.

Their season consists of an 18-game regular season that wraps up on July 23 on the road against Philadelphia.

They will play nine home games and eight will be broadcast on Pittsburgh’s CW. The first game to be televised on Pittsburgh’s CW will be on March 19 at 7:30 p.m.

In addition, Sportsradio 93-7 The Fan (KDKA-FM) will carry all 18 regular season games.

Looking forward to watching the Power play. It’s not the Steelers, but it’s football in The Burgh and that’s always a good thing. Wish all the games were going to be televised though. Maybe another local network can carry the remaining games.

I don’t understand why they are televising all of the home games. Wouldn’t it make more sense to televise the road games so as to entice people to attend the home games in person?? That would seem more logical.
