Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season; and, of course, that means the return of fish frys all around the area! We’re compiling our annual list of churches, volunteer fire departments and other organizations for the 2011 KDKA Fish Fry Guide now. You can submit your group’s information below!
Click here for a complete list of our Fish Frys!
Also, NewsRadio 1020 KDKA will be out and about at Fish Fry locations during Lent! Robert Mangino will visit one Fish Fry every Friday between Noon-2pm. If you want us to visit your Fish Fry, just let us know below! Only one stipulation…you have to feed Robert, so he can talk about how great your fish fry is!

Robert, It’s great that you are highlighting the fundraisers around the area. Also, when you are north of the city on Route 8 (midway between the turnpike and Butler, at Brownsdale Road), be sure to stop at Dino’s Deli any day during Lent or any Friday for a great fish sandwich (and bring a friend to help eat it). It’s my “other kitchen”.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Cathedral holds Fish Fry’s at the American Serbian Club in the South Side, from 11a -7p, on Fridays during Lent. The fish is tremendous! Homemade soups, haluski and Spanish-style rice are among the side dishes that round out the menu.
