Steelers Offer 1-Year Tender To Colon
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - After sitting out the full 2010 season with a ruptured Achilles tendon, Steelers tackle Willie Colon is being offered a one-year contract tender by the team.
Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reported that this will be the third straight year Colon will be given a one-year tender as a restricted free agent.
Under the current NFL rules, if Colon signs with another team as a restricted free agent, that team will be required to give the Steelers a first-round draft pick.
