    1. Marissa Roxberry says:

In November on the 23rd, my brother in law was killed in an accident on 308 that was not his fault. He did not have a seat belt either. If he would have had a seat belt, he would have been crushed and killed regardless. Seat belts can save lives but they can also take them. It all depends on what happened. Let Zech serve as a loving memory of the man he was and all he has done for his friends and family. Take it to heart to always be careful when driving and don’t let anything distract you. See you in heaven zech. You were far too young.

    2. Its me, its always been me. says:

You all need to just stop. I loved Zech. You guys dont even know him, and if you do you dont know him like we do. He was the most amazing, loving, gorgeous man on the face of the planet. His family and friends are suffering enough. Get a hold of youself and realize that. You are so inconsiderate and rude. Seatbelt or not doesnt change the person he was, and isnt going to change the hurt that we all feel from losing. I love him, with every bone in my body. I love you.

  2. jennie says:

I agree ace slick is the nut job his family is suffering enough and they have to listen to your rants.

  3. rodger says:

I’d rather be dead than paralyzed.

    1. Kristin Diane McMillen says:

my one friend was in an accident and was paralyzed in 2004 he says as much as he doesnt like it it was the best thing to happen to him and helped him in many ways i think your family would feel different paralyzed doesnt mean anything now with all of the medical advances

      1. Tyler says:

Zech will be missed greatly. He was a great person, so full of life. But seatbelts could save you or kill you. I was in that wreck in 2004 that Kristen was bringing up. If I would have had my seatbelt on, I would have been ripped in half and died. The accident was ten times worse than zechs, no deaths, just a friend getting paralyzed and me almost getting fd up and almost dieing. Which brings me to the point that you should just be careful driving and if

  4. RW says:

I agree its a personal matter for this family and you are the nut job on a rant.

DARWIN………………………! My sympathy to his family!

  6. Kevin Weissenstein says:

I would like to know how Jennifer Ruttinger got off her charges of DUI when her daughter died 1-month ago…Washington county DA did not file charges within thirty days, now they never can…How did that Happen? http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/tag/jennifer-ruttinger/

    1. responder says:

They do not have 30 days, they have 2 years.

  7. Stacy says:

The fact is we all live and die…seatbelt or not…wen its ur time u cant hide from it…i just cant believe how insensitive people are on these post…dont condem the dead..i knew this young man for most of his life, he was my sons best friend…he was a good young man…and i loved him as one of my own sons…i know is family is hurting really bad and they need our sympathy and prayers not our rude, insensitive comments.. .his family has my deepest heartfelt sympathy …may their faith, family and friends help them through this time of sorrow…R.I.P.Zech…u will never be forgotten..

  8. r.i.p says:

rest in peace. may seatbelts be worn after reading this. most likely not.

  9. chance says:

Guess if it’s not your time, you can jump off a ten story building and survive. Wake up and realize that personal actions can accelerate your demise.
His family has my profound sympathy. Who knows if a seatbelt would have mede a difference, but statistically they do.

  10. Kristin Diane McMillen says:

i was a friend of zechs and he was an amazing man whom will not be forgotten and may this terrible accident be a lesson for us all although he was not wearing his seat belt you all did not know him and your rant are very upsetting and if he had worn his seatbelt it most likely would not have made a difference youll be missed ❤

    1. responder says:

i was there. the cab area was in one piece, very survivable…if the belt was worn. but my condolences and may he rest in peace.

  11. Morgan Campbell says:

I went to school with Zech and was a good friend of his through high school. I agree with Kristin let this be a lesson for us but stop your ranting. He was a great person and will truely be missed.

  12. a Laws says:

Seat belts save lives ? maybe i should wear one while driving my motorcycle. Oh wait a minute, why should I wear a seatbelt, when I dont even need to wear a helmet in Pa ? Pa laws have me puzzled

  13. chance says:

? Pa laws have me puzzled

Shouldn’t be a problem. Intelligent people can figure it out for themselves.

  14. Mary says:

God bless his family. May their love for Zech get them through the rest of their lives.

  15. Marissa Roxberry says:

Oh Zech. Why didn’t you just ask for a ride home last night? Such a painful reminder of the fact that we are not invincible. You will be missed by all of your friends and family.

  16. Tyler says:

R.I.P. My friend. My thoughts and Prayers go out to your family. Your will be missed and never forgotten. we shall see you on the other side.

  17. Special Friend says:

This go’s out to the family and friends of Zech Racaud. We all have children that went to school together and still was very close to Zech. He was well loved by HIS FRIENDS. Alot of our children has been in alot of accidents in the past few years. One of them was also my son. We all need to understand that life is very short!! All my prayers go out to the family and friends of Zech. You will be missed and will stay in our hearts.

This is for everyone who has lost a loved one or a best friend.

    When tomorrow starts without me,
    Please try to understand,
That an angel came and called my name,
    And took me by the hand;
The angel said my place was ready,
    In heaven far above,
And that I’d have to leave behind,
    All those I dearly love.
But when I walked though Heaven’s gates,
I felt so much at home,
For God looked down, smiled at me,
    And told me “Welcome Home”
So when tomorrow starts without me,
    Don’t think we’re far apart,
For every time you think of me,

  18. Just wondering why says:

There ya’ go. “Responder” posts “the cab area was in one piece, very survivable”. Nobody deserves to die that young, but no ones family should have to go through such grief for the failure to preform such a simple act. Remember it’s not a choice, it now the law. What would cause a person not to buckle up?

  19. Maxime says:

Zech was my brother. Please stop making comments about buckling up. Tell your kids, not the internet. Thank you to all of his dear friends. If you didn’t know him, you shouldn’t be posting here.

    1. sure says:

public forum, file a complaint or a lawsuit like most people would to get money.

    2. Stacy says:

Maxime, u have my deepest condolence…Zech was loved by our family too..he was my sons best friend…he was a very respectable young man….please dont let all these rude, insensitive peoples comments get to you….one day they will all feel your pain, in one way or another…then lets see how quick they are to judge…we who all knew and loved Zech wont let there comments bring us down….find strength in your Faith, Family and Freinds….you and your family are in my prayers….

  20. Janelle Hartle says:

Zech was a wonderful person and could always put a smile on your face. That’s all anyone needs to know. My heart and prayers goes out to everyone who knew him.
