Scholarships Designated Exclusively For White Males Raise Many Questions
PITTSBURGH (NEWSRADIO 1020 KDKA) -- Author, J.C. Davies, joined Mike Romigh to discuss a hot topic that has risen at Texas State University.
Students have designated a scholarship exclusively for white males, of at least 25 percent Caucasian origin.
The scholarships are for low-income white students who need the assistance.
With countless scholarships out there, serving nearly every race, religion and group of people imaginable, a scholarship exclusively for the white could be viewed as taboo. However, this is undoubtedly hypocritical, considering that amongst the majority there are countless students out there who will, without aid, be unable to gain an education.
