Pitt Stars Remain Focused On Bigger Prize
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) – Greg Giannotti and Jim Colony from the FAN M0rning Show caught up with Gary McGhee, Gilbert Brown and Brad Wanamaker after Senior Day at the Petersen Events Center.
Gary McGhee talked about the win over Villanova, and gave credit to his teammates continuing to work hard after being down four points after the first half.
Despite all the hoopla from Senior Day, McGhee said he and the team remain focused on the big prize of a Big East Tournament title and NCAA Championship.
Gilbert Brown has some special plans for the awards and cardboard cut-out he received from Senior Day.
Brown said it was important for his team to remain patient and take quality shots to overcome the holding offense Villanova employed against them.
Senior Brad Wanamaker said this team has the ability to make adjustments after the first half, which will help them in the Big East and NCAA Tournaments.
Wanamaker was honored and surprised with the raising of the Big East Championship banner, but hopes to be raising a couple more this season.
