PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) – Pittsburgh Steelers safety Ryan Clark knows the team respects Ike Taylor and needs to bring him back. However, he understands the Steelers need to be competitive and Taylor has earned his big payday.
Clark said, being a Steeler means a lot to Taylor and in the end it will come down to what’s important to him and his family.
When Clark became a free agent, it was the opportunity of competing for a Super Bowl every year with the Steelers as the reason he re-signed with the team, instead of a taking a payday somewhere else.
Clark is encouraged by the extension of the current CBA deadline and thinks both sides are moving in the right direction. But, Clark is “not sure” if the NFL will be missing any games next season.
