Are you looking at creating County Superintendants Positions versus 500 Superintendants in PA??? That would be a great savings to start with. Plus do administrators even pay for benefits??? Do legislators pay for their benefits?? Are you going to scale back the big raise they got to their pensions some years ago??? Are you going to reduce the legislative size? Isn’t PA one of the biggest in the US? Plus shame on you going after Certified School Nurses. Think of them as advanced practice nurses. Would you want an OB Nurse to take care of you when you have a heart attack?? No you want an ED or CCU nurse. Healthier kids fo perform better academically. My sister is a school nurse and has brought $100,000’s dollars into her district with grants she has written. So school nursing is Advanced Practice nursing to connect children and parents to resourses in the community. Do not belittle their education or what they bring to their districts. Lastly, schools have no merit language in existence??? How is this going to impact layoffs??? This will be a potential free for all and great teachers could be lost if the don’t have “the right political connections??? PA education just took a nosedive and I am embarrassed for you all.
