RMU's Andrew Toole Previews NEC Championship Game
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Robert Morris men's basketball head coach Andrew Toole joined the FAN Morning Show to talk about his team's performance in the NEC Tournament so far.
After the team's loss to Sacred Heart at the end of January, Toole kicked his players out of the locker room and took away some privileges his players enjoy while being a part of the team.
Toole said, he and the coaches decided that the players were not "living up to the standard of Robert Morris basketball" and they wanted to make them realize it's a privilege and if they want to win they need to earn it and put in the effort.
As the Colonials prepare for the NEC Championship Game on Wednesday against Long Island, Toole said his team is very loose and will rely on experience as they compete for a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
The team will be without Karon Abraham in the NEC Championship Game and Toole said his team will need to "get on the backboard, take care of the ball and take good shots" for a chance to win.
