EVANS CITY (KDKA) — Cranberry Township’s director of emergency medical services is facing rape allegations.

The alleged victim is a 19-year-old man.

Police say it happened after a night of underage drinking on March 5 at a home in Evans City, Butler County.

Steve Tedesco, 29, is charged with rape of an unconscious person, deviate sexual intercourse and supplying alcohol to minors among other charges.

The criminal complaint says after a night of drinking, the 19-year-old man fell asleep on the floor and awoke to find Tedesco performing oral sex on him without his consent. It goes on to say that after the incident, “Tedesco sent several text messages asking to talk about it and that he was sorry; he never meant for that to happen.”

Evans City Police Chief Joe McCombs told KDKA’s Kym Gable those text messages and other conversations are key evidence in the case.

Tedesco was arraigned late Wednesday and taken to the Butler County Jail.
