Light Rail Car Fire Delays T’s Blue Line

BON AIR (KDKA) — A light rail transit car has caught fire.

It happened near the Port Authority’s Bon Air station.

There are no reports of injuries, but the fire is causing delays.

The Port Authority says there are 10 to 15 minute delays on the inbound side of the Blue line.

    Fire?. Probably an electrical shutdown. Fire? You kidding me ,Fire?

    I was on the T that was outbound across from the T that was on fire and saw it happen. It was a stream of fire that erupted from the electrical line and went over the roof of the T. It was fortunate that the ground was so saturated or it would have casued the grass and trees by the Bob Air Station catch fire. It was scary.
