PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — What does the Pittsburgh Power Arena Football Team have that the Steelers don’t? A dance team!

Under the direction of dancing director Jennelle Johnson, the Sparks are sure to fly when the Power takes the field at the CONSOL Energy Center!

“We’re so excited,” Johnson told KDKA in January. “I’m going to have 16 beautiful girls!”

A Penn State graduate, Johnson has more than two decades of dancing experience. She has even worked as a backup dancer for Ludacris and Brian McKnight.

The Sparks make their big debut in Pittsburgh when the Power take on the Philadelphia Soul in the home opener tonight!

We thought the “Sparks” was such a clever name that we decided to take a look at some of the other dance teams around the Arena Football League! We even put links to each of their pages so you can check them out for yourself!
