Fox Chapel Student Dies After Skiing Accident
FOX CHAPEL (KDKA) -- Students at Fox Chapel Area High School are mourning the death of a fellow classmate who died in a skiing accident in western Colorado.
Senior Richard Cullinan was on vacation with his family at Beaver Creek Ski Resort. On Monday morning, the 18-year-old was on his first run of the day when something went tragically wrong.
He careened into a tree, suffering a massive head injury.
Cullinan was an avid skier. He was also a member of the school's golf team.
Students describe him as popular, driven, and enthusiastic. Seniors are wearing simple white ribbons around their wrist to memorialize Cullinan.
