PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) – The FAN’s Jon Burton caught up with Pitt senior Gilbert Brown and head coach Jamie Dixon after the Panthers 74-51 win over UNC Asheville.
According to Brown, it was good to get all the nerves and jitters out in the first game of the NCAA tournament, especially after a long layoff.
He also shared his early thoughts on taking on Butler in the third round.
Dixon talked about his team’s performance against Asheville.
He said the Panthers still need to work on not allowing turnovers. The head coach also downplayed the thought of the team having jitters in their opening round game.
Dixon thinks Butler will be a physical match-up in the third round.
