WALL BOROUGH (KDKA) – Allegheny County Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that left a suspect critically injured Sunday morning in Wall Borough.

According to police, the incident happened outside of Eddie’s Bar on Wall Avenue around 2 a.m.

Initially, East McKeesport Police were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a fight and shots being fired.

When officers arrived, they found a group of people fighting and one man with a gun.

The man allegedly ignored commands to drop the weapon by the officer. He then pointed the gun at the officer.

At that time, the officer fired one round, which struck the suspect in the upper leg.

The suspect, 22-year-old Carl Jones Jr., was taken to a local hospital and was last listed in critical condition.

Police have determined that Jones was the person responsible for the shots being fired before police arrived and charges are expected to be filed.

No other people were struck by bullets in the altercation.
