Duquesne To Face Oregon CBI Quarterfinals

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - After an 87-76 win over Montana in the first round of the College Basketball Invitational, the Duquesne Dukes will face the Oregon Ducks tonight at 10 p.m. in the quarterfinals.

In the win over Montana, the Dukes were led by T.J. McConnell with 15 points. Bill Clark and B.J. Monteiro added 13 points each.

The Dukes will continue their trip on the west coast as they play the Ducks on their home court in Eugene, Ore.

According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Dukes received authorization from the NCAA to stay on the west coast after their game against Montana instead of traveling back to Pittsburgh.

NCAA rules state that a team can't travel more than 48 hours before a game and has to return to their school no later than 24 hours after the game.

If the Dukes win, they will face the winner of Davidson vs. Crieghton match-up on Wednesday, March 23.
