Clark: Current NFL Offer ‘Worst Plan In Sports History’

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) – Steelers safety Ryan Clark joined the FAN Morning Show in his weekly spot to discuss a range of topics.

Clark is in Florida for the NFLPA meetings and is spending time with his family at Universal Studios. He was not able to watch Hines Ward on “Dancing With The Stars” and didn’t received any messages from his teammates about Ward’s performance.

Clark said the Steelers players have a lot of team unity and are kept well-informed about the ongoing lockout and current NFL offer.

Clark tells the FAN Morning Show, the NFL is not telling the public the full details of their offer. If the players were to accept the current offer from the owners it would be the “worst plan in sports history.”

Clark points out that the current deal calls for the players to take less than 50 percent of the revenue. Then, further down the line, the percentage of revenue sharing would decrease to about 25 percent.

Clark responds to all the criticism he received last week when he mentioned the Rooney family in his weekly interview with the FAN Morning Show.

Ryan Clark is making over $2,500,000/year, and he is griping that he deserves more under a new CBA????? Wow! I think it is time for Clark and his negative attitude on his situation and the Rooneys to move on to another team, (or “his life’s work” as Chuck Knoll use to say). He is at best only an average Free Safety, whose weaknesses are covered up by Troy when he is playing.

Really Ryan is lying now and that is what is so frustrating for us fans is both want to paint the other side as the guilty party. They are both way wrong and have just stabbed us fans in the back.Ryan is average…well I can agree to that to a point but less than average one on one at the line of scrimmage…great hitter when he can get there.None of it really matters until they can get out of the courts and settle this.I am a Steeler fan of 41 years but if nothing gets resolved BEFORE training camps then I am done this year as a fan.I went through both work stoppages before and what they presented to us those years just simple stunk, will not do it again…get it done or they will not have to worry about how to split 9b for it will be a long time before they have to worry about having that kind of money again.
