PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) – NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Jeff Burton joined the FAN Morning Show to promote the Coca-Cola Family Track Walk Program.
Last year, the program had over 20,000 fans join with NASCAR drivers to walk the track before the race. Burton said the program is intended to promote family time, exercise and the sport of NASCAR.
Burton addressed the concerns that certain NASCAR races might be too long. He said some races should be longer like the Coke 600, but the average race should be shorter than 500 miles.
Burton said if the races are shorter there will be more excitement for the fans because the driver will take more risks, more often than waiting till mile 495.
