TURTLE CREEK (KDKA) — An 81-year-old man was found lying in the street in Turtle Creek not far from his home.

The man, identified as William Churchfield, was taken to Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville where he died of blunt force trauma.

He was found around 11 p.m. Thursday.

Although Allegheny County Police say a vehicle reported stolen was discovered with damage consistent with hitting a person, investigators say they still don’t know if Churchfield was struck by a car, assaulted or if he fell.

County police is asking for the public’s help in putting the pieces of the puzzle together.
