Playoff Preview?

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- The Penguins game tonight versus Tampa Bay isn't a playoff game, but it's very likely the opponent Pens fans will see when the Stanley Cup playoffs open in two weeks.

The Pens currently sit as the 4th seed (98 points) in the Eastern Conference while Tampa Bay are solidly the 5th seed (93 points).

Along with still trying to catch the Philadelphia Flyers for first place, this game has meaning for the Pens.

If the Pens are able to win tonight, they would have a solid seven point lead over Tampa Bay and would have a solid hold over home-ice advantage should the two teams meet up in the playoffs.

Here are some game notes to preview tonight's game:
*Probable goalies: Marc-Andre Fleury vs. Dwayne Roloson

*The Penguins have won four consecutive away games

*The Pens beat Tampa Bay, 5-3, on October 27th at St. Pete Times Forum

*Tampa Bay forward Ryan Malone will play tonight after missing the past 21 games with a groin/abdominal injury

*The Penguins are 26-6-1 when Chris Kunitz gets a point
