Birch Undecided About Coming To Pitt

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Jamie Dixon could be on the brink of one of his biggest losses at Pitt and it has nothing to do with a basketball game.

Chris Peak of Pantherlair.com is reporting that 5-star prospect Khem Birch is now undecided about playing at Pitt.

Birch's indecision is based on the fact that assistant coach Pat Skerry left Pitt today to become the head coach at Towson.

Birch is the No. 4 overall prospect and No. 1 power forward in the Class of 2011.

Birch told Peak that "I don't know what I'm going to do. I have to figure that out."

Pitt assistant coach Brandin Knight reportedly will visit Birch on Thursday and try to convince him to stay with the Panthers.

If Birch chooses not to attend Pitt, he would have to request that Dixon and the University release him from his Letter of Intent.
