Greensburg Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting 15-Year-Old

GREENSBURG (KDKA) -- Neighbors may know Kenneth Lee Richie as the man who quotes Scripture, but a criminal complaint detailing his arrest this weekend details a much different picture.

Police say Richie brought a 15-year-old boy to his apartment on East Pittsburgh Street in Greensburg to help him clean out the basement and then allegedly sexually assaulted him.

"Believe he was more of just an acquaintance where this juvenile's done cleaning for the suspect," Greensburg Police Captain George Seranko said.

The victim told police that after the assault, Richie paid him $6.50, thanked him for being a good victim and threatened him not to tell anyone what happened.

"He more or less told him to keep quiet or him and his family would be hurt," Seranko said.

Richie was convicted of rape and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse back in 1979, according to the criminal complaint.

He has lived on East Pittsburgh Street for at least a year.

Police are asking anyone with information about any possible case, they're asked to contact Greensburg police.
