Want to solve more crimes? Log onto facebook! You’ll find out everything you need to know. Hell, you may be so fortunate as to get a video along with the story. Amazing and downright disturbing what people post on there sometimes…..

  4. stormie says:

Black on black crime is tolerated because it’s only racism if a white police officer does the same thing. The NAACP and B-PEP love and uphold Martin Luther King because he was the only black man willing to die for his people, as long as they hide behind his image they don’t have to put their life on the line for the community. All the money that the poor blacks donate to the NAACP go to towards the yearly image awards which is racist because white’s are not voted in, walk around the streets like Nate Smith don’t hide behind the camera Mr. Stevens just my opinion.

yeah tim stevens is a joke they need to audit his ass he gotta be taking bribes or something and dont forget the big money got to nate smith too

    2. joeblo says:

i think you have failed when your the head of the naacp and your city doesnt hae a radio voice no radio station? cmon you failed Tim its bad enough that blacks have absolutely nothing in southwestern pennsylvania theres been a long run of black leaders selling out to include mr smith lets face it when you have white folks leaving the region you know its bad …puittsburgh eats its young just like an old alligator behind ravenstahl and all these paper tigers theres some old fart pulling the strings

  5. stormie says:

The reason why people liked Martin Luther King is because he walked beside them not over them, not like the leaders we have now.

What a newsworthy story . . . another shooting in Wilkinsburg. That town should just be razed. If the ganstas keep this up, there won’t be no one left anyway.

  7. dawn says:

i grew up in wilkinsburg and it’s always been a sh!thole. burn it down. all those beautiful old houses being used as crack houses… what a shame!

    1. Concerned says:

I grew up in Wilkinsburg, as well as many others. You don’t burn it down, if you move out and to something better, you go back and help get into that community and help build it back up. We don’t do enough, in our community’s! Where’s the mentor’s where’s the churches. Stop riding through and writing it off, it’s the kids going crazy, so guess what, that’s who we need to start reaching, and these single families. I don’t live there so it’s not my problem! Wrong, it’s our duty to go back and try our best to uplift our people, cause someone has had to help us at one time or another. THINK ABOUT IT………..

      1. dawn says:

you are crazy. when i was getting jumped as a little girl no one came to my aid. the good families are gone. and i will be DAMNED if i subject my children to this filth. i got out and so can they if they want! hell i live in swissvale not the ohter side of the world!

      2. RDRD says:

Good luck — hope you don’t get car-jacked, stabbed or shot.

  8. Bugg Family Member says:

Be mindful when you make comments the family may read it. Regardless of the economic situation, family structure, or neighborhood – someone is now mourning the loss of their child/brother/cousin/nephew/friend. There is no justification for that at all.

    1. dawn says:

i would never want to offend the victims fam and i hope that i didn’t. i am hating on the person who just shots up a neighborhood!

The place used to be beautiful when the Itailians and the other nationallities came over. Houses were clean, gardens were planted, no SHOOTIN and the POELEECE were your friends and kept you safe. Now it’s like all the bad element areas and we know how THOSE people take care of their neighborhoods.

    1. dawn says:

i see what you are getting at, and unfortunately, you can’t even deny that it’s true!

  11. RDRD says:

Parents need to STEP UP and take RESPONSIBILITY for all these kids. Many of the residents aren’t working — get involved and take your streets back. I, too, grew up in Wilkinsburg in the 60’s and 70’s, and it was a fantastic place to be as a kid. It sickens me to see what it’s become.

    Shocker, shooting in wilkinsburg

  13. Tucker says:

Since 94′ I have counted 47 Wilkinsburg black boys killed by black boys. The youth have nothing to live for but getting high, making babies, and walking the streets.

I left for college in 97′ and now I am back trying to educate these young brothers…but the current Wilkinsburg “leaders” will not let anyone in to help! Same poor academic results and an increase in crime. same ol same ol.

I won’t give up though. There’s too much at stake. We’re losing our future. Sounds corny but very true.

There is more to life than what’s within the boundaries of W-burg. They need to see the promise and hope that I’ve experienced as a young black boy from Wilkinsburg. If I made it out and back again, they can as well.
