Crews Rescue Man Stuck In Meat Grinder
LEETSDALE (KDKA) – A man was injured after getting his foot caught in a meat grinder in Leetsdale Tuesday morning.
According to officials, 26-year-old Nicholas Mangino was cleaning the machine when his leg got stuck halfway up to his knee.
Mangino began cleaning the seven-foot machine at 11 p.m. Monday and was found by co-workers Tuesday around 6:15 a.m.
When emergency responders arrived at K&K Gourmet Meats, they had to cut Mangino from the machine.
He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital for treatment.
