9 Arrested In Armstrong County Meth Lab Raids

ARMSTRONG COUNTY (KDKA) -- Officials in Armstrong County arrested nine people overnight suspected of being involved in two separate meth labs.

On March 4, police raided a suspected meth lab on Garver's Ferry Road in Vandergrift.

Two children between the ages of 10 and 12 were in the home and taken into protective custody.

On March 24, law enforcement officials raided another meth lab in Apollo on North Sixth Street.

A 4-year-old child was in that home and also taken into protective custody.

Through a joint law enforcement effort, officials arrested nine people overnight.

According to the Armstrong County's District Attorney's Office, charges are pending against Brandon Watterson, Herbert Covey IV, Jessica Conrad, Gary Miller, John Kunkle Jr., John Kunkle III, Amada McLaughlin, Justin Butz and Ronald Rabickow Jr.

They are facing a list of charges including operating a methamphetamine lab, possession of a controlled substance, endangering the welfare of a child and risking a catastrophe.
