Pittsburgh (KDKA)- As expected, Pirates starter Ross Ohlendorf was placed on the 15-day DL.

Ohlendorf will miss the next couple of weeks due to a right shoulder posterior strain. RHP Daniel McCutchen was recalled from Triple-A to take Ohlendorf’s place on the roster.

No official word on who will replace Ohlendorf in the rotation but it’s expected to be Jeff Karstens.

Ohlendorf left last night’s game in the 3rd inning vs. the Rockies, allowing a 3-run HR to Jason Giambi.
