Tractor Trailer Jams Traffic On Route 28

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A disabled tractor trailer caused a major traffic mess on Route 28.

The truck got hung up on the northbound side at the 40th Street Bridge and blocked traffic.

PennDOT has reopened the ramp from the Veterans Bridge to Route 28. It was closed for a few hours to prevent even more traffic from building up.

The drive of the trailer needs a serious GPS. We have stuffed on 28 for hours. 30 minutes late for 60 minute class and a hour late for a recital because we need drive on 28 both ways. What was he thinking?

Why don’t you use your serious GPS to notify you of the traffic back up and to reroute you?
One thing I do know there is NO signage stating width restrictions for that stretch of road.
