Pittsburgh (KDKA)- Joe Paterno has landed a commitment from a 5-star recruit but will the recruit stick with Penn State.
Defensive tackle Jarron Jones, one of the top players in the country, says he wants to be a Nittany Lion. Jones has offers from every major school in the country (Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Tennessee).
The interesting part of this story is what Jones told Bobby Deren from BlueWhiteIllustrated.com, “It’s a soft verbal. I’m still going to take my five official visits.”
Jones gave Deren his top five in order: 1) Penn State 2) Syracuse 3) Pitt 4) Rutgers 5) Notre Dame
The 6-6, 305 lb defensive tackle is from Rochester, New York (Aquinas Institute).
So, Jones is a Nittany Lion for now, let’s see if that commitment sticks after he takes his official visits.
