Rock-Throwing Incidents Along State Route 21 Probed

SOUTH UNION TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- State police say someone is throwing rocks at cars along a busy Fayette County roadway.

It's happening along State Route 21 in South Union Township. Five people reported being hit around 8 p.m. Thursday.

Ray Bann of Dunbar was driving home from work when someone threw a softball-sized rock out of a sports car that was coming toward him. He immediately called state police who told him he wasn't the only victim.

Bann has a small scratch on the driver's side of his car. Another victim reported having a shattered windshield.

No one has been injured, but state police say this is creating a dangerous situation.

State police are investigating whether the incidents last night are connected to three other incidents on State Route 21 in Georges Township last weekend where cars were hit with rocks.

Anyone with information should contact state police in Uniontown.
