Shots Fired Near Peabody High School
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- At least two people were firing shots at each other behind Peabody High School in East Liberty.
KDKA's David Highfield reports no students were inside the school at the time because they had a half day; however, some teachers were still there.
No people were hit in the shooting, but three teachers' cars were damaged.
A man putting up political signs in the area said he heard more than a dozen shots fired and said he had to crawl to safety.
"It was so close that I [could] hear the whizzing of the bullets cutting through the air before the 'Boom!' of the bullet leaving the barrel of the gun," Kirk Rice, a witness, said.
No one has been arrested so far.
