Market District Recipes: Shrimp Mafalda & Turkey Sausage Arrabiatta

Shrimp And Asparagus Mafalda

Serves: 4
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

1 shallot, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
½ bunch asparagus, bottom cut off, sliced in half lengthwise
½ lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined, sliced in half lengthwise
1 jar Market District Tomato Vodka Sauce
1 lb. Market District Mafalda noodles, cooked
Basil and Parmesan Cheese for garnish
Market District Olive Oil

Directions:

1. Cook pasta according to package directions and hold.
2. In a heavy sauté pan heat 1 tbsp. Market District Olive oil.
3. Add shallot and sauté for 1 minute, then add garlic and sauté.
4. Add asparagus and sauté for 2 minutes, then add shrimp and continue to cook until shrimp begins to turn opaque, about 2 minutes.
5. Add sauce and heat through.
6. Add cooked pasta noodles and serve, garnishing with fresh basil and cheese.

Spicy Turkey Sausage And Pepper Arrabiatta

Serves: 4
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

1 lb Market District Fusilli noodles, cooked
1 jar Market District Arrabiatta Sauce
2 links, about 3/4lb Market District Steve's Spicy Turkey Sausage cooked, sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
½ red bell pepper, sliced
½ green bell pepper, sliced
½ Vidalia onion, sliced
1 oz red wine
Basil and Parmesan Cheese for garnish
Market District Olive Oil

Directions:

1. Cook pasta according to package directions and hold.
2. In a heavy sauté pan, heat 1 tbsp. Market District Olive Oil over med-high heat.
3. Saute garlic for a minute, than add bell peppers and onion and sauté until crisp-tender, about 3-4 minutes.
4. Add wine and cook for a minute, then add sausage and sauce, and heat through.
5. Garnish with fresh basil and cheese.
