Rain, Thunderstorms Expected Today

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – It's going to be another rainy April day in the Pittsburgh area Tuesday.

Commuters had to deal with rain showers during the morning commute, but some heavier rains are still on the way.

According to KDKA-TV Meteorologist Dennis Bowman, periods of heavy and moderate downpours can be expected throughout the morning and evening.

Thunderstorm activity will also make its way into our area tonight. Tuesday's high temperature will be around 61 degrees with an overnight low of 58 degrees.

Bowman said that over an inch of rain may fall before Wednesday morning's rush hour.

Some heavier downpours can be expected north of the city Wednesday morning. There's also a chance for some hail and high winds during the morning commute.

Wednesday's high temperature will be around 71 degrees.
