Suspect Sought In Attempted Robbery In New Stanton

NEW STANTON (KDKA) -- State police have released a description of a suspect following an attempted robbery at a business in Westmoreland County.

Authorities say the incident happened at the Six Pack Shop after 10:30 p.m. on April 11 in New Stanton.

According to state police, the suspect directed the cashier to the back of the store, but immediately ran off after seeing two witnesses leave out of the back door.

State police describe the suspect as a white male, standing at about six feet tall.

He was wearing a dark bandanna that was partially covering his face, a ball cap and a dark jacket and pants.

The investigation continues.
