CASTLE SHANNON (KDKA) — Authorities continue to investigate after a man was found with multiple stab wounds inside of a vehicle in Castle Shannon Friday afternoon.

Police and paramedics were called around 4:45 p.m. to the 4100-block of Library Road.

The SUV was parked in front of a Subway restaurant shop in the parking lot of the Stoner Center Mall.

Officials say the 20-year-old man was discovered in the backseat.

“The individual that they were paying close attention to was shirtless sitting in the backseat of the car. He was motionless, just sitting there, wasn’t moving around,” said Gary Cohen, a witness who owns a business in the shopping plaza. “The paramedics proceeded to take him out of the car and put him on the stretcher and immediately took him away.”

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

KDKA’s Ralph Iannotti reports that authorities say there were other men were in the vehicle. They were questioned by Castle Shannon police and Allegheny County detectives.

Investigators say the man was stabbed at another location. Also, they are expecting to make an arrest in the near future.

So far, there is no word on the man’s condition.
