Mother Accused Of Using 14-Year-Old Daughter In Drug Deal

UNIONTOWN (KDKA) -- A Fayette County mother is accused of asking her 14-year-old daughter to carry out a drug deal.

Christine Teets, 39, is facing felony charges of soliciting a minor to traffic drugs and criminal conspiracy.

Police say Teets texted her teenage daughter while she was drinking in a bar. The text directed the teen to get pills out of a basket in the kitchen and give them to someone outside.

She was then to put what that person gave her back in the basket. The teen called her aunt for help when she suspected she had been given crack cocaine.

According to a criminal complaint, Teets admitted to police that she had asked her daughter to give four Percocet pills to a friend, but claimed the teen was supposed to receive marijuana rather than crack cocaine in return.

Teets was released after her arraignment on $25,000 unsecured bond.
