Death Threats Made Against Injured Clairton Police Officer

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — As Clairton Police Officer Jim Kuzak continues to recover after being shot in the line of duty, there’s a new concern.

Someone has made several death threats against him.

Multiple sources have told KDKA-TV that security for Kuzak has been beefed up because of those threats.

One source tells KDKA-TV’s Ralph Iannotti there was no caller ID on either of those incoming calls, but investigators continue efforts to trace them.

Since Kuzak was shot three times and critically wounded on April 4, the 22-member Clairton police force, supplemented by officers from other area departments, have been working around the clock, helping to provide security for Kuzak as he recuperates in the hospital.

Now those security measures are being tightened.

Kuzak, 39, was on the job in Clairton only a couple weeks ago when he was shot three times responding to a home invasion call on Miller Avenue.

He was wounded in the shoulder, side and right forearm.

Get the POS thats making death threats on this man, hold’em down and let the officers beat TLS out of them! One of the reason’s they aren’t affaird is because the thugs know the law hasn’t punished them to this point so….. Turn the cops loose and let them get some payback! Maybe then they’ll get the respect the deserve!

My neighbor had his other neighbor come to his front door and threaten to kill him. My neighbor called the police and told them about the threat and they said there’s nothing they can do. Seems odd that they can’t do anything for him when they know who made the threat but are taking this case seriously.

Disregard. I see a lady on facebook was threatened and police are taking it seriously…so it’s not a cop/non-cop issue….just a lack of enforcment by my local cops.

Best of luck to this officer and hopes that they catch the losers that did the shooting/threats.
