Georgia Force Shut Down Power 58-39

DULUTH, Ga. (KDKA) – The Pittsburgh Power were looking for their second straight win on the road, but were shut down by the Georgia Force Saturday night.

Quarterback Brett Elliott torched the Power for 261 yards and eight touchdowns to lead the Force to a 58-39 win.

Georgia only held a 20-19 lead at the half. However, the Force (5-2) outscored the Power (3-4) 21-0 in the third quarter to blow the game wide open.

Power quarterback Anthony Morelli completed 22 of his 41 passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw three interceptions in the game.

Jason Willis caught eight passes for 79 yards and a touchdown to lead the Power.

For Georgia, C.J. Johnson caught eight passes for 140 yards and three touchdowns, while Maurice Purify caught 10 passes for 90 yards and four touchdowns.

Ahmad Hawkins came up with two interceptions to help Georgia move into second place in the American Conference South Division.

Pittsburgh only trails the Cleveland Gladiators (4-2) in the American Conference East Division.

The Power will return home to take on the Spokane Shock (3-4) Saturday at 8 p.m.
