ROSS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — A road impacted by a landslide in Ross Township is now fully open.

Ross Township police say Sewickley-Oakmont Road is now open to two-way traffic after PennDOT added a lane.

Meantime, the landslide is threatening the home of Richard and Faith Everson. The ground dropped at least 20 feet and tumbled onto the road below after a crack appeared three weeks ago.

“If this carport falls, it could pull the front of the house off and collapse the house,” Richard Everson told KDKA-TV’s David Highfield.

It’s not clear at this point what is causing the slide, but mine subsidence isn’t the problem, the couple says.
