Pirates Game Day Notes: May 8, 2011

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Pittsburgh Pirates will close out a three-game series with the Houston Astros Sunday afternoon at PNC Park.

Houston rallied to win Friday’s series opener 3-2, while Pittsburgh won 6-1 Saturday night.

The Pirates come into the game with a 16-17 record and are sitting in third place in the National League Central.

Only Cincinnati (17-16) and St. Louis (19-15) have better records in the division.

Pittsburgh’s starting lineup today will be:

McCutchen, CF
Tabata, LF
Diaz, RF
Walker, 2B
Pearce, 1B
Doumit, C
Wood, 3B
Cedeno, SS
McDonald, P

The game starts at 1:35 p.m.
