LAWRENCEVILLE (KDKA) – A woman gave birth to a set of twins Sunday morning, but one child came a little early.
According to emergency dispatchers, the woman was on her way to the hospital around 2 a.m., but had to pull over because the first child couldn’t wait any longer.
The woman delivered a little girl in the 5100-block of Butler Street. Paramedics arrived and transported them to West Penn Hospital.
“It was very quick,” said Danielle Bowers, the new mom from Vandergrift. “One minute I was having a contraction, the next it was just one push and she was out.”
By the time they arrived at West Penn Hospital, Bowers had already started to deliver the second girl.
The twin girls, Sasha and Seviera, join four other siblings.
