Pirates Farm Director Kyle Stark Breaks Down Prospects

PITTSBURGH (Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN) -- Kyle Stark joined Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN to talk about some of the talent that General Manager Neal Huntington has brought in and how those players are developing.

Kyle characterized the three and a half years under Neal Huntington as a process and that there are still a lot of things they're doing at the minor league level to contribute to the overall success at the major league level.

The two big players drafted last year, pitchers Jameson Taillon and Stetson Allie, are at two different levels right now, but Stark told us what they have seen from the pair and what their progression through the system may look like.

One big question the Pirates minor leagues is dealing with is where the next shortstop will come from. Stark said they are looking both internally and externally for the shortstop of the future, but think they might have a guy internally at AAA in Chase D'Arnaud.

We wrapped things up with Stark taking a look at Catcher Tony Sanchez and what his development has looked like so far this year.
