PENN HILLS (KDKA) — Penn Hills and Allegheny County Police are investigating after a man was shot in an apartment complex on Garden Drive in Penn Hills  Monday night.

According to police, the shooting happened in the parking lot of the Leechburg Garden Apartments around 8 p.m.

Police and paramedics arrived moments after the shooting, but the man was already dead. He was shot in the head.

The victim has been identified as Todd Mattox, 28, of Homewood.

Detectives canvassed the area looking for witnesses and clues.

There were several reports of a white car seen entering the parking lot at the time of the shooting.

Police do not have a description of the suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
