NFL Commissioner To Speak With Steelers Fans

PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) – The NFL owners won the latest round of the lockout in court Monday afternoon.

The 8th U.S. Circuit of Appeals ruled that the lockout should remain in place until a full appeal is heard on whether it is legal.

Both the owners and the NFLPA met behind closed doors for eight hours on Monday. The talks were part of a court-ordered mediation and will resume Tuesday.

Another hearing involving both sides will be held in June.

On Thursday, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will hold a conference call with Pittsburgh Steelers season ticket holders.

He has talked with season ticket holders of 20 other teams so far with the main topic of discussion being the lockout.

Thursday’s conference call is scheduled to take place at 2:30 p.m.

Oh gee, how nice of him to wait till after he’s talked to 20 other teams. And it’s though a conference call. Was that how he did it with the 20 other teams? Maybe, how many fans in these “other cities” actually sell out the whole stadium? He’s goinmg to talk to over 50,000 fans at one call? You know how in tv shows they say that “they jumped the shark”, Goodell IS THE SHARK! This guy is a waste of all of our time and the players money he should have been gone, LONG LONG LONG ago. How, I do not know, you got all the power, but, no one should and especailly not a greedy, self indulging, arragont, little rat as you, should have even a key to the rest room..

Just remember that baseball lost a lot of its fans when they went on strike several times over a small period of time. This is nothing more than a struggle to see who can get more – total greed! Whatever happened to playing for the love of the game? Sports has become so sensationalized that it’s pathetic! People are starving, losing their jobs and homes, and the football players and owners are fighting over who should be compensated more – the greedy getting greedier!

Father Roger will make everything nice again. Bull$hit! What a weenie! I hope Steeler fans boycot his sorry a$$ – nothing productive will come of anything this kiss-a$$ touches. He is nothing but a lackey for the owners!
