EAST HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — State police are investigating after an elderly man’s body was found in the woods in Westmoreland County.
Albert Zadell, 77, left his Potoka Mine Road home in East Huntingdon around 8 a.m. Thursday.
His brother Harry says that isn’t unusual because his brother liked to spend the day chopping wood, but when Albert never returned by this morning, Harry got worried and asked a neighbor to go looking.
That’s when Albert’s body was found.
Neighbors remember Zadell as, “one of the nicest people you’d ever meet.”
State police aren’t calling the death suspicious, but also aren’t ready to call it an accident.
The Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office says an autopsy will be performed Friday or Saturday morning.
